Huntington

We spent an afternoon up at the Huntington Gardens. The Chinese garden and the Children's garden were a hit! We also toured Dustin's work and joined him for dinner before heading back home.

Littlest Cousins

We loved meeting our little niece for the first time this month. Caeli is almost two months older than Josiah. She is all action, smiles, and muscle! Only one of those adjectives applies to our sweet little guy. :)

Back to School

Monday was the first day of second grade! Such fun to have all my students back with fresh curriculum and plans. Monday had some few kinks that needed to be worked out, but Wednesday went smoothly. Monday's problem was that Elijah was so excited to have his friends back that he wanted it to be an extended play date. Sadly, his friends actually had to do school and couldn't spend their time reading and playing with him!

Josiah mostly sleeps and hangs out during school. Elijah, aside from room time, participates in whatever way he can. He loves to mimic the big kids. The other night he went to bed with the Magic School Bus book on friction and his nap time story of choice was about ancient Rome. He informed Dustin at dinner last night that "Rome fell."

I think my nine charges are off to a good start!

Elijah's August/September school theme is farms:

Sensory tub to play with during memory work time

Basket of activity options during table work time, such as spelling and writing with ease

Brothers

Elijah loves to take care of all of Josiah's book-related needs:

We did this one day (and put everything away):
So the next day, I found this set up:
Tummy time for all!
