New Food Source

We introduced Elijah to rice cereal last Saturday.

Trying out his new seat

Going for his second bite

Unsure what to think of it

But definitely thought it was worth trying again

Elijah's over-all attitude towards (semi-)solids: It's great!

Paso Robles/Fresno, Part 3

I suppose I should finish posting pictures of the last trip before moving onto the next....

The wedding was lovely and Elijah sat nicely through his first wedding.

Waiting for the wedding to start

Aren't my boys handsome?

We spent the night in Fresno on our way home.

Elijah got to experience the pool for the first time at Grandpa and Grandma's.

He loved it, just like his daddy!

And there was also playtime with his cousin...

Playing with Cousin

On Friday, Elijah and Teddy hung out together, so Teddy's parents could get some work done.

Elijah thought it was great fun to go on an errand with another baby. He rode in his mei tai carrier and Teddy rode in the cart; every time Teddy made a noise, Elijah laughed.

Please share the book?

I guess I can play with my toes instead.

Hurray! Books for all!

Toes!

Elijah's newest toy: toes! They are handy things that are always there and pretty yummy to chew on.

He Rolls (possibly)!

Until today, Elijah had rolled over 3 times in six weeks (and in effort to maximize his rolls, he had rolled both tummy-to-back and back-to-tummy). Today, he doubled his total number of rolls.

Happy 4th!

Paso Robles, Part 2

Baby in a grape vine:
Paso Robles is the third largest wine country and fastest growing one in California

Elijah got to hang out with the groomsmen for part of the rehearsal
(Jon, Luke, Phil, Lem, and Joe were all in our wedding)

Meeting Phil for the first time; he thought Phil was hilarious and gave him lots of laughs

The bride and groom

Meeting Lem

Hanging out with Jon and Luke

Paso Robles (Overnight Trip #5)!, Part 1

Last Thursday, we made our way up the 101 to Paso Robles for a friend's wedding. We stopped at a beach on the way up to enjoy lunch and celebrate our fourth anniversary.

The cute baby tagged along on our date

Perfect picnicing weather

It was warm enough to let Elijah touch the water (unlike our last beach experience)

Waiting...

Elijah enjoyed the sounds and feels of the beach

I think I could do three (or Elijah gets a taste of life as a third born)

Last week, two little friends came and spent a couple of nights with us.

We played, baked, read, went to swim lessons, and had other fun. Dustin even pulled out his miming skills.

Elijah had to share mommy more, but he also had more people around to entertain him, so it was a good trade.
