More water pictures...

It's been quite warm lately, so water activities are a favorite late afternoon choice.

Elijah has figured out how to go over his pool's edge. I'm hoping that he does not end up with a scraped forehead before the end of summer.

He's requiring more active supervision!

The water is great!

Swimmer

Elijah loves the water; he'll happily hang out in his patio pool, the bathtub, or the big pool for long stretches of time.
He's like his daddy!
Today, Elijah and I braved the pool by ourselves; it was a refreshing break from the heat.

First day of school

All ready for school start and for his friends to return!

End of Summer

Last Monday, my 1st/2nd grade families and I headed off to the beach to enjoy a day of fun in the sun before school started.
My wonderful students

Sleep

Sleep training update: he sleeps! His general pattern is to go to bed at 9pm and then happily awake around 7am, talking loudly. This morning, surprised that it was after 8 and I hadn't heard him yet, I went to check on him and found him quietly talking to his pacifier. Just in time for school to start on Monday!

Moving "Helpers"

Dustin's sister, her husband, and her baby have left us for Arkansas. We spent time last week helping them pack and load the truck.

Elijah and Teddy played together for a little bit amongst the boxes.

(Please excuse the messy face)

Elijah thought it was great fun to play with someone else's toys, which allowed me to actually be useful.
