Arizona

The last day of February, the boys and I left behind our newly hatched and still hatching chicks and headed out to Arizona to meet 3 week old baby Daisy. It was my first time making the drive alone with the boys (we've flown the last couple of times); the heavy rain made the first bit of the drive stressful, but the boys were great travelers.

I got to snuggle lots with Daisy, and the boys played and played with their cousins. It was a happy weekend!

On Saturday, right after grooming Ginger, the rainstorm we left behind in California caught up with us, so the boys got quick pony rides in the carport (they have a wonderful aunt!). And then spent lots of time playing out in the rain with Ella.

Our last afternoon, my grandparents, who winter in AZ, joined us for lunch along with my Uncle Gregg, who was out visiting.

Four cousins plus neighbor's friendly cat
All five!
And then it was time to drive back home Sunday afternoon to be ready for the week ahead.
