First Half of August Pictures, Part 1

Claire met Dustin's parents at two weeks! Besides all the wonderful grandparent activities of playing and cuddling, his mom cooked and cleaned for us and his dad helped assemble our patio chair slings (definitely a two person job!).

And it was Grandma's 90th birthday that weekend, we celebrated!

Corn harvest! Unfortunately, we left it too long and it wasn't tasty.

The boys have played blocks and more blocks all month. Robots and space vehicles have been the main themes. This morning, Josiah informed me that his bears were "Michael Collins and Washington" and that they were taking off.

Elijah has also been building space things with his legos. Here is a collection of satellites that he built by carefully looking at his library books. My favorite is the tall white rocket with the space capsule on top.

We went to Heritage Park after Claire's 2.5 week appointment. She's grown an inch and was already a pound over birth weight (no nursing issues!).

She loves to stare at her squirrel.

This is where she'd like to be every moment that she's not nursing.
Elijah remarked that it's like she's back inside of me.

Our tomatoes are doing well, and our cucumbers

Still some scrawny newborn-ness; she is rapidly filling out!

3 weeks

I started putting together our work trays for kindergarten
and preschool--the boys have been happy to test them for me

We went to Fullerton Arboretum one day

The boys have been into making their own games. One component is that you
literally draw your card. It makes it difficult for the non-game creator to win
