The boys and I spent a wonderful weekend in Arizona with my sister and her kids. Elijah came home and declared that he wanted to move near Ella--and bring the fourth graders and beloved Ph with us! (He also said he wanted a dog like theirs, which is funny because every time their very gentle, sweet Golden Retriever was on the same floor of the house as the boys, they were not pleased.)
We spent most of the rainy Saturday playing at Phoenix's amazing Children's Museum:
Climbing the "tree" |
Rand graciously pedaled Josiah and Ella around |
The light table with magna tiles was a hit |
Talking on their cellphones; they also made laptops out of the tiles |
Camping under the trundle bed |
Sunday, we got to go visit my sister's new stable, which Elijah loved. He loved it so much, he stayed by himself with my sister while I took Rand to a church reheasal. Elizabeth let him ride and ride.
Meanwhile, Josiah and Ella climbed hay bales... |
...and dirt piles. |
Feeding the horses (aren't they nicely color coordinated?) |
Climbing the water truck |
On Monday, we had a morning of playing and riding Ginger before flying home.
