Elijah turned 8 in February!
Traditional cinnamon rolls for breakfast |
His birthday was on a Monday, so the boys worked quickly to get their basic school work done, so they could move onto party decorations. They did all the work!
Their lego sets were carefully placed about the room. |
Four friends came over in the afternoon for games and cupcakes.
Playing hit the Eye of Sauron |
Then a little bit of a rest time before getting ready for the family birthday party in the evening!
More game playing |
His birthday dinner was his beloved rice noodles with plum sauce and hoisin sauce paired with salad topped with nuts, seeds, and cranberries. He specifically wanted the red tablecloth paired with the real silver and the china dishes (he's his father's son!).
Grandpa and Grandma got him the hit present of the night. |
He surprised me by wanting an ice cream cake this year (he assures me next year's will be elaborate); we found edible paper Lord of the Rings figures to add for decorations.
Little brother likes birthdays, too! |
