This past weekend, we headed up to the Norton Simon Museum for my sister's belated Christmas present. We enjoyed the beautiful art work and the sculpture garden.
Thanks to
the wonderful Mini Masters board book series, Elijah was excited about some of the artists. (Lately, we've been particularly enjoying "Dancing with Degas" and "A Picnic with Monet.")
Norton Simon loved his Degas. Elijah was excited to see "Degas dancers" in person.
And, I'm sure it was mostly a lucky guess, but upon request, he did accurately pick out the one Monet in the room.
Despite the budding museum interest, Elijah is still a 2 year old, so Dustin and I did a lot of tag-teaming of touring the sculpture garden with the toddler.
