Dyeing Easter Eggs
Today, Elijah and I dyed Easter eggs as our one Easter-related activity of the season. He found the whole process intriguing. He declared the end product, "Beautiful!"
Final Tally: 11 eggs dyed, 2 cracked in the process; 2 more cracked by the child while trying to patient during the blowing process; 1 cracked by me figuring out how to blow eggs

Imitating Daddy...
To fit with the last post: thanks to my friend Alisha's inspiration and my mom's Costco membership, we've set up a little Monet picture study for the spring.
Dustin had already got the hook ready for us, so all we needed to do was hang the first picture...
...however, Elijah decided that his tool box was definitely needed for the job!

Norton Simon Museum
This past weekend, we headed up to the Norton Simon Museum for my sister's belated Christmas present. We enjoyed the beautiful art work and the sculpture garden.
Thanks to the wonderful Mini Masters board book series, Elijah was excited about some of the artists. (Lately, we've been particularly enjoying "Dancing with Degas" and "A Picnic with Monet.")
Norton Simon loved his Degas. Elijah was excited to see "Degas dancers" in person.
And, I'm sure it was mostly a lucky guess, but upon request, he did accurately pick out the one Monet in the room.
Despite the budding museum interest, Elijah is still a 2 year old, so Dustin and I did a lot of tag-teaming of touring the sculpture garden with the toddler.
